THIS WEEK'S WORD OF ADMONITION:
The apostle Paul was never called “Reverend Paul” or “Pastor Paul.” Some men today demand that they be called “Pastor” despite the fact that the great apostle Paul was content with plain “Paul” or “brother Paul.” This attitude reveals one of the marked difference between true and false shepherds.

THIS WEEK’S CHURCH
“…A Family Matter…”
1) When a church scandal (i.e. sexual misconduct; a suspicious death; un-justified discipline) becomes a “family matter;” 2) When leadership doesn’t want public disclosure because of embarrassment; 3) An effort for leadership to “save face;” 4) Ministerial jargon used many times to “cover” for a pastors sins and to keep him “in office.”

a family matter!”

Is churchmanship a biblical notion?
Jesus never held regularly
So when a “local institutional church” meets together, what does that
A church leader that continually reminds us that he has “authority” is really proving that he has no God-given authority at all.
His constant exhortations to “submit to God’s duly-authorized authority” proves that he is not a leader of Christ’s sheep, but a thief who is attempting to drive the sheep away from Christ and draw them unto himself!
Paul told the Corinthians that when they came together
it was not for the better,
but for the worse.
People always bring up the matter of the “early Church Fathers.”
Really? So what’s that supposed to mean?
Using very select passages of the Bible to validate authoritarianism is a common practice in the world of churches.

The Reformation has never ended. It is just beginning.
When your neighbors and friends speak to you about “how great their church” is, how are we to respond?
By telling them the "Truth In A Nutshell."
"Not in word only,
but in power"
1 Cor. 4:20
When men exalt themselves as something special in Christ’s assembly, the honor of their names and offices become equated with the cause of Christ. Eventually, image-polishing becomes more important to them than the well-being of the people.
A parent begins to care more deeply about the “family reputation” than the genuine welfare of the child. A teacher’s “title” and “honor” becomes of greater importance to them than assisting a troubled student. Defending a so-called “eldership” becomes the chief priority of a local church, for which some of “the sheep” may have to be sacrificed. Those who are regarded as “leaders” in the assembly must carefully guard against this tendency, and those who sit in the pews must also carefully be on the watch for it in those whom you have been hoodwinked into believing are “over you in the Lord.”
There is absolutely nothing whatsoever revealed in God's Word about the primacy and exaltation of a specialist who issues forth a monologue Sunday after Sunday, notwithstanding the literally myriads of messages to the contrary.
See and learn from the Scriptures the Truth.
See the truth come to life!
"...They insist that anybody close to them be submissive and will lie and cheat to protect themselves and their empire, all the while posing as a righteous hero..."
