Why Are We Here
WHY ARE WE HERE?
I certainly understand the dismay at some in finding us. It is the spiritual abuse and unbiblical authoritarianism that is occurring in many, many churches that concern us.

Please be aware that my former church is where I experienced and witnessed abuse and error and unbiblical authoritarianism.

It's that simple. I am not an outsider looking into an organization, but was a long-term member for many years.  I speak from experience, more than you will ever think or know.

It wasn't until recently, that the awareness of the widespread spiritual abuse and unbiblical authoritarianism that is occurring, resulting as for example, in marriage after marriage being destroyed,  was an added reason for this site.

We believe it is our duty as Christians to proclaim THE TRUTH!  We realize that some articles will offend some people - that is what the truth usually does!  We realize also that some might not even believe the things that they are reading: they will chafe, they will mock, they will not heed the warnings and thereby say, “who is this, that we should believe him!”  This too is to be expected.

"It is the SPIRIT that gives life; the flesh profits nothing!"

“…But we did not receive the spirit of the age, but the spirit
which is from God, that we might know the things that were
freely given to us of God.  Which things we also speak, not
in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Spirit
teaches, combining spiritual things with spiritual.  But a natural
man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are
foolishness to him, and he is not able to know them because
they are spiritually discerned (examined).  But the spiritual one
discerns (examines) all things, but he is discerned (examined)
                                       by no man….”

If we know of abusive practices, and those who engage in them, how can we fail to warn the people of these "ravening wolves?" All through the Bible we find proof that they should be identified and exposed.
See the article, “Calling A Spade A Spade” for further clarification.

Paul warned about those who preached "another Jesus ... another spirit ... or another gospel" - 2 Corth. 11:4.  How can we identify them unless we judge their Jesus, their spirit, and their gospel by the Word of God

Paul goes on to call such teachers, false apostles who transform themselves into apostles of Christ. He also says who their master is and refers to Satan himself as an 'Angel of Light'.

PLEASE PRAY for God's Spirit to work in many hearts through this website; to those who are perhaps lost, to finally be found; for those who are trapped in a life destroying system of spiritual abuse within the church, to finally “see the light” and to be set free; for those who have already “broken free” to be more emboldened as never before to do what ever is necessary to expose those who would dare to “put asunder” what “God has joined together”; for believers, WHO KNOW what is going on but are just standing on the sidelines doing nothing, that they might awake to righteousness and join the spiritual battle; and for the abusers themselves, to finally be smitten once and for all and cry out to God for forgiveness and repent of their dastardly deeds.

There are people being taught in the church today the unbiblical notion that it's not their place to question or (horror of horrors) go against the “elders” decisions.  Nothing could be further from the truth

The truth is that most church members do not think! (and the “elders” know that). They know that the typical church member will blindly submit to their so-called "authority" and would not dare make a spectacle of themselves by going against the common consensus of the church.

John the Baptist stood alone in the wilderness for God, because no one wanted to stand with him.

Daniel ended up in the lion's den alone, because he was the only one who cared enough about God to pray.

Joseph was left in prison for years.

It is your responsibility and mine to expose the evils of unbiblical authoritarianism and spiritual abuse in the church.

Anyone with "their thinking cap ON" knows that for an “elder” to “counsel” someone to separate or divorce from their spouse because one of them (either the husband or wife) has questioned the “pastor” and his “authority” or who has now arrived at a different doctrinal position of the church, is EVIL BEYOND WORDS!

And this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Since the truth makes most people uncomfortable, they don't want anything to do with the truth.  The Apostle Paul said in Galatians 4:16, "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?"

It is rare to find a brother or sister who is zealous about the truth nowadays, especially when it comes to spiritually abusive practices from those in “church leadership.”

There are very few indeed who are willing to brave the disapproval of their brothers, or the censure of their family, or the wrath of man, for the cause of truth and righteousness.

Moral courage today is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle.  When in “exposing those who contradict,” (Titus 1:9) it is sometimes hard to find those who will stand with you, shoulder to shoulder and together, fight for the truth, fight for the survival of the family, and contend for the faith.

Yet, moral courage is the one essential vital quality for those who seek to expose and change a man-made “church system” that is bent on the destruction of the marriage institution and anyone or anything else which gets in their way.

Oh how we need Christians today who will contend for the faith.  I am not advocating being unkind or rude to people. I am saying that we need to stand for the truth, and let the chips fall where they may.

Our goal is NOT to attack people, but rather to expose the lies and true nature of those imposters (in our opinion) who fraudulently claim to be men of God.

So please don't confuse our mission of "exposing" as an "attack" on the character of a person who contradicts God's Word.

We do NOT attack people; we attack and expose false religions, false teachings, scandals, cover-ups, false ideas, trickery, and heresies which blind the masses from THE TRUTH

Yes, people will be offended, because the truth is usually offensive.

"And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he threw them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables" - John 2:15

'Can you imagine?  Is this our Precious Savior acting like a mad man?  Yes, it most certainly is.  Jesus was very angry to put it mildly.  What do you think would happen to someone who did today exactly what Jesus did back then in the temple that day?

The person would immediately be arrested and charged with creating a public disturbance, assault with a deadly weapon, trespassing, vandalism of public (private) property, etc.  The judge would force the person into mandatory psychiatric counseling.

If an undercover police officer were present at the time of the violent incident, the person would probably have been killed on the spot.'

So don't let anyone make suggestions of "vengeance", or "being unfruitful", or "unloving."

Remember, Jesus was more loving than any person who ever lived, but He also hated sin like no other...especially hypocrisy and destructively false teachings inside the church!

When Jesus called them a "den of thieves" and overthrew their tables, do any of you actually think that He was enjoying Himself?

Every time someone exposes darkness and subversion inside the Christian establishment, the hounds of hell come against that person. We know that.

Every time someone unmasks Satan's deceptive ministers of unrighteousness within the local church--men who so cleverly disguise themselves as "Angels of Light" but, inside, are ravening wolves--the hounds will be sent out.  We know that.

They will show their ferocious mouths, and lust and tear and pry and prowl - anything to shut out the Truth!

Remember the disciples in Luke 9 who wanted to call down fire from heaven?

Jesus turned and rebuked them and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of, for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them."

I am afraid Jesus would have to repeat these words to a lot of people in “church leadership” positions, because this spirit, the spirit of trying to silence (even to the point of death) anyone who would dare to oppose or expose them, that same spirit is still very much alive in many churches today

Let me say it again. I can tell you from experience, that although the modern church lacks the authority to put people to death, the spirit that led to the deaths of so many faithful believers in times past who stood up and exposed the heretics, the blasphemers, the perverters of the Word, that same spirit is still in existence today

Make no mistake about it!  I am very well aware of this.

So let the hounds come.  We’ll be ready.

As has been said on the opening page, www.wickedshepherds.com is here to equip Christians to discern spiritually abusive practices; to warn them of their dangers; and to help them avoid becoming either victims or perpetrators of spiritual abuse

The "TRUMPET" of Isaiah 58:1 is being sounded on wickedshepherds.com

and there are some who don’t like it.   Do you have "ears to hear?"

We’re not here to make friends; we’re here to get the truth out.

Remember, Ephesians 5:11 commands, "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." We are supposed to "reprove" (Greek: elencho, which means "to expose") all works of darkness.

Just like as abortion is a work of darkness, and pornography is a work of darkness, and idolatry is a work of darkness, even so, spiritual abuse; unbiblical authoritarianism; a so-called “eldership” that culminates in the destruction of the marriage institution, are works of darkness, with families left in ruins.

Jesus spoke of the 99 sheep, but one of them went astray, and eventually was found.

If one person in a hundred is helped through this website, it has all been worth it!

If one marriage is saved because couples were scouring through this website, it has all been worth it!

Every single “church” which practices these abominations; every single “pastor/elder” who engages in these diabolical schemes that are highlighted throughout this website should know that there is a fighting group of Christians who are exposing them.

People need to be warned!
